Credo Fidei Accounting Services was incorporated in November 2017 and is situated in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.

 

The company was founded by Shené du Raan. Shené is a registered Associate General Accountant (AGA (SA)) with SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants). An AGA(SA) is a highly skilled accountant who has completed both a SAICA-accredited B.Com degree and SAICA accredited training programme. The South African Institute of Accountants is the foremost accountancy body in South Africa and one of the leading accounting institutions in the world.

The fundamental promise of the AGA(SA) designation is that businesses and public entities can be sure that they will be measured and accounted for at the highest professional standard if their accounting functions are staffed by AGAs(SA), who will bring a high level of accounting skill as well as a high level of ethics and governance – as can be expected from a designation administered by SAICA.

Shené is also a registered tax practitioner with SARS and is a Commissioner of Oaths.

 

Shené gained extensive experience in external auditing in Pretoria where she worked for 5 years as a SAICA clerk for the first 3 years and the last 2 years as the audit supervisor/manager.

 

During September 2017 she moved back to her hometown, Middelburg, to be closer to her family after the tragic death of her father the previous year.

 

The inspiration behind the business came from her father’s death.

“My dad was one of my biggest inspirations. He always said why must you work hard and make money for other people when you can work just as hard and make money for yourself. When I moved back to Middelburg I was pondering a lot about what the next step in my life should be and these words of my dad came back to me and I decided to start my own business. The next step was to decide on a name for the business and we decided to give praise to our Lord as none of this would be possible without Him. The words Credo Fidei means Believe and Faith in Latin and this seemed like the perfect name. Our move to Middelburg was done by a leap of Faith and by just believing God will provide for us and so far, He has not disappointed. The rocks that are the logo of the business, symbolizes this and is also the image of the company’s motto, “Building a foundation for your business”. Not only is it the foundation for my client’s businesses but also for my own.”
